We are proud to be associated with Ashton, Wigan and Leigh NHS in promoting Safe Sex in an attempt to educate young people about the dangers of being unprotected. We will shortly be distributing Promotional Condom packs in order to do our bit. Be Sure & Be Safe with Bluestar Taxis & your NHS.

St Jude’s Primary School will be sporting a new kit which has been provided by Bluestar through the Kits for Schools Campaign. We wish them well in the coming season and hope they follow the Bluestar way, which of course means having a winning team that does not accept defeat. Stay focused guys and be proud to represent your school.

Our recent ‘change for charity’ appeal was a success and raised £120 which was donated to Derian House. A large empty whisky bottle was put in our office for drivers to fill with loose change i.e. 1p, 2p & 5p coins. When it was full we asked the lads to guess the amount in the bottle and charged a quid a guess. The winner was Andy Clark who got to pick the worthy cause.

We have also been involved over recent years with Wish FM’s Christmas Kids and Local Hero campaigns. Many of our drivers and office staff have this joined this campaign for 2008 by donating £1 a month. It’s a well deserved cause which has been organized by one of the local Hackney Carriage owners.
